  • Pre-Masters Program - GPA 2.3 (4.0 scale)

  • 1-semester Pre-Master's Program - TOEFL iBT 70 / 6.0 IELTS / 6.0 K / 5.5 W PASSWORD
  • 2-semester Pre-Master's Program - TOEFL iBT 60 / 5.5 IELTS / 5.5 both sections PASSWORD / B2 EMBASSY
  • Direct Admission Pre-Master's Program - TOEFL iBT 84 / 6.5 IELTS C1 Embassy

Direct entry graduate applicants can meet the English requirements by providing a qualifying score report from the table above or by satisfying one of the requirements below:

Studied for the past two consecutive years in a school where English is the language of instruction (in Antigua and Barbuda, Australia, The Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Canada, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Jamaica, New Zealand, St Kitts and Nevis, St Lucia, St Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago, USA, +other countries determined by MC team on a case-by-case basis).

Pre Masters Programs

The Pre-Master's Programs are tailored to meet the needs of ambitious international students who want to develop their career. They provide a unique combination of English language, academic modules and study skills training.

You will study in small classes within an academically rigorous and inspirational environment. Our experienced staff will monitor your progress regularly, ensuring you stay on track and complete the program with complete confidence in your abilities. 

Once you successfully complete the Pre-Master’s Program, you will go on to study the related master’s degree at Merrimack.

  • 3 and 4 year undergraduate and HEI awards and degrees accepted* 
  • No GMAT or GRE test required
  • No external credential evaluation report required
  • On-campus housing available on a first-come, first-serve basis**
  • Up to 8 credits earned in the PMP towards your degree***

Our expert Student Enrollment Advisors will support you through the whole process. Your admission to the University will follow these steps:

  1. Submit your university application form.
  2. Also send us your supporting evidence, including copies of your passport, school transcripts and bank statement.
  3. You will be asked to take the free Password English Test if you do not have an IELTS or TOEFL score. 
  4. We will pass your completed application to the Admissions Department for review of your academic qualifications.
  5. If your application is successful we send you a formal University acceptance letter within 2 weeks.
  6. Pay an enrollment deposit (varies by country, and refundable if your visa is denied) to accept the offer.
  7. We will release your I-20 immigration document. 
  8. You then need to apply for a F1 student visa.
  9. You must pay your remaining fees (either in full or your first installment)  immediately upon visa approval, or by July 1st for the fall semester, November 1st for the spring semester and April 1st for the summer semester.
  10. Before your program starts, we will ask you to complete pre-arrival documents (health history, flight details, housing application etc).
  11. Arrive in the US the weekend before your program starts - you will be met at the airport if you have booked a transfer - to settle into your new home.
